Today we drove to the town of Escalante, and we decided to stay at a campground with full hookups. We left the BLM in the early afternoon after spending the morning there. We took the 2 hour drive to Escalante through the beautiful landscapes of Utah. We got to the campground early evening, and hung around outside along with a campfire. It was a cold evening and the campfire made it nice and cozy. I cooked our dinner on the open flame, and enjoyed our evening in the van.

11/3/2024 - Since last night we were camped near the Meadows hot springs in Utah, the perfect way to start the day would be to go for a soak on this chilly day. This time it wasn’t crowd at all, only one person there and eventually had it all to myself. We’re glad we didn’t camp too deep into the springs because it rained last night and we would’ve been completely stuck in the mud trying to get back out m. We saw a camper actually got stuck this morning and needed help.

We left the hot springs and stopped by a truck stop to take hot showers, before making our way to our camp spot for the night. We found BLM land nearby with great views, and made dinner inside.

11/2/2024 - Before leaving Salt Lake City today to continue heading south, the visited the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium. It was a wonderful aquarium. The building was really beautiful and the exhibits really well done. Spencer enjoyed running around in the play area as well.

Afterwards, we made our way to a natural hot springs 2 hours south, called Meadows Hot Springs. The dirt roads leading up to the hot springs were the roughest roads we’ve ever driven on. But we really enjoyed the hot springs pool and had a relaxing soak.

The hot springs are located on private property and the owners were kind enough to let the public access it. They even allow overnight camping, which was awesome. We parked at an open field, made dinner and enjoyed our night there.
