San DiegoWhere Our Drinking Water Comes From Living in a Van

So where does our drinking water actually come from, living in a van?
We fill our main tank wherever we can find a water spout, like this one at a boat launch in San Diego. But honestly, we don’t drink from that tank. We drink from the two three-gallon jugs on our counter, and we refill those at Sprouts. We actually tested it with a little water tester.
The Sprouts water scored a hundred out of a hundred. The water in our tank came out poor, even through our filter. So the tank water is for washing dishes, and the jugs are for drinking.
